fitGevity’s main focus is bringing you quality and fun exercises which help maintain and improve your healthy body. However, maintaining a healthy body is so much more complex than simply working out a few times per week. According to Women’s Health Magazine diet actually factors more into weight loss than exercising. It’s a funny thought that changing just your diet will help you lose weight faster than solely exercising. I have a few friends who think the other way around; they eat junk all day with hopes of burning off those calories at the gym. Then a week later they complain about how they work out all the time, but still gain weight. Well jeez, of course the weight isn’t going to come off when you’re eating a Big Mac every other day! It’s about calories in and calories out as well as eating a healthy diet packed full of fruits, veggies, lean proteins, healthy fats and wholesome grains. Women’s Health Magazine‘s reasoning is that “It’s much easier to cut 500 calories than to spend an hour in the gym burning 500 calories every day”. Both make sense. Either way, diet is incredibly important to your fitness and weight loss goals.
Therefore, I would like to share this delicious juicing recipe I came up with yesterday! Juicing is a fun way to fit in your fruits and veggies especially if you’re not a fan of eating fresh fruits and veggies. You can get creative and play mix dr. with your concoctions. I usually add quite a bit of ginger because I love the taste and the slight bite ginger has to offer. Also, don’t worry, you don’t have to dive into a juicing cleanse! I like to start my day with some fresh juice and go from there. Wether you’re already of fan of juicing or not, give this recipe a try. I promise it won’t disappoint!
